Don't forget though that you still have to rank your students and that is
the function of the SACs. If you lower the bar too far you will clump
students together on the 'ladder' and I believe this could disadvantage some
(mind you ladders and high jump bars somehow don't seem to go together but
what's wrong with a mixed metaphor or two)
