Hi Mike,

I suggest you contact the software vendor as they may have a patch or
some form of work around. Also do you have adequate permissions to
perform installations whilst connected to your network?

Regards

Subject: [Year 12 Its] VB 2005 Express Edition - Install glitches

Help Wanted!
Several things - when I try & install on my ThinkPad the install falls
over at the first of the 2 products - V2 Infrastructure.

When I try & install on the school network I get stopped by an earlier
message saying that I need XP Service Pack 2 (I have this installed on
my TP).

I spoke to our techy and he said that the department discouraged the
install of the Service Pack!

So, I was wondering if others had experienced these install issues and
how they surmounted them, or could provide further detail about them.

Naturally, I would like to get the install completed before I go on
leave, and I wanted to teach myself VB.net during the holz.
