Here are some links to free software packages that can run on most
computers. I saw a multicoloured country map that somebody made with
Inkscape. I was very impressed with the results and next week will
giving this away to use with my students.<br>

I admit Flash is not the sharpest tool in my bag, but I've never known
it to be used for image *editing*. That's why Macromedia Studio
bundles Fireworks...
