[Year 12 IPM] (no subject)

Microsoft Visio is on the ipex list that state schools get for free.  It
would have a lot of features that you use with inspiration and is
effectively free ( pay about $7 for a CD)  It has the advantage of being of
the familiar MS Office family.  I have had a quick look at it and we will be
installing it on our network over the holidays.

Hi Folks,

I have just calculated that I will have to pay in excess of $9000 to licence
our whole school with Inspiration (300 x $33 - Dept of Ed. Software Rolling
Fund). I rang the resellers here is Australia & they say that the US company
won't budge on site licensing (which they don't offer). Does anyone use an
alternative mind mapping software e.g. Open Source / Web-based or at leaast
more affordable?
