Hi All,
well it was only a matter of time before we found our first reference to
staff here on MySpace. Of course it is not too complimentary and most
likely libelous and or defamatory. I have had a chat with the boss and
he wants to block MySpace, however he realises that we can't control
what students have access to at home and we can't keep up with the sheer
amount of sites available to students to post to.
These sites offer much to education, just take a look at the amount of
PD about blogs etc, however, I wonder if we are being effective in
communicating to students the legal implications of this tool.
We are only just introducing blogs etc to staff in PD sessions, I was
wondering if anyone can share with me any official legal advice they
have had or had to give in this area. Do you know of any sites
(Australian would be good....sigh) that have info on this?
Many thanks
Cameron
