[Year 12 IPM] straw poll on student internet access

We give our kids about $10 worth at the start of the year or about 110 mb,
if they use more than that they pay for it.  They give the money to the
office, they get a ticket that says how much they have paid and I adjust
their account accordingly.  I do the same thing for printing. We use SINA
internet management and Gaia print management .  If they abuse the computers
at all, they are restricted to the educache and if they want access that
doesn't cost them they use educache.  Our internet proxy caches web pages
that have been visited once for a certain period of time.  However we have
had to revert back to an old proxy server because the edupass server we all
got given does not handle a lot of web pages and stuffs up too much.

at our school the students only have access to sites on the cache. do other
schools allow open access then?
