[Year 12 IPM] smoothing the edges of a bit map

Sorry Graham - I don't have these exact ones, but in your situation I
would use either photoshop or paint shop pro.
or, depending on how complex it is, I would print it out at, say 600dpi
on a laser printer, by hand shade in the bits you need to smooth, then
re-scan (also at 600dpi if file size was not of concern. 
Without being able to see it, it is a bit hard to specify exactly for
you.
What size is the bmp file? Can you send me a copy of it - I'd be happy
to take a look at it for you.
