This tour is intended to encourage girls to continue with their ICT studies by providing them with a deeper understanding of the opportunities that exist in ICT in Industry. The places visited on the tour and the work done in each of them are all on the cutting edge of technology and ICT in business, education and industry.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p><span style='font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#558ED5'>We are very proud to be able to offer the following itinerary for the bus tour:<o:p></o:p></span></p><p><span style='font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#558ED5'>The tour will visit four industry hosts so you can listen to ICT professionals speak, see their workplaces and learn about what they do:<br>1. Peter Mac: Technology and Health Science – frontline investigation of disease, variations in DNA, data mining and supercomputers <br>2. Deloitte: Inclusive Workplace of the Year, 2012 – breaking into computer systems and managing and protecting your data<br>3. National ICT Australia (NICTA): NICTA brings together exceptional people from research and industry to create an ICT research Centre of Excellence – developing world leading hardware and software including the bionic eye and inexpensive radar systems for cars<br>4.
