VCE English Language) who would like to contribute to discussions
concerning computer science in the secondary curriculum.
Computational linguistics is one of many topics we will cover.]

CS4HS workshop, University of Melbourne, 11-12 July 2012

Christophersen (VCAA)

CS4HS is an initiative sponsored by Google to promote Computer Science
and Computational Thinking in the secondary curriculum.

The goals of this workshop are: (i) to update Victorian secondary IT
teachers on current developments in the field of Computer Science;
(ii) to develop Computer Science modules that can be used in the
secondary curriculum;
(iii) to contribute to the development of a new Computer Science
subject in the Victorian Certificate of Education; and (iv) to raise
awareness of secondary educators about how computational thinking
underpins the overall secondary curriculum.

You are invited to participate in the 2012 CS4HS workshop at the
University of Melbourne.  This invitation is extended to the
participants of the 2011 workshop, plus other interested secondary
educators, subject to our limit of 25 participants.  The workshop is
fully catered.  Participants from outside Melbourne can apply for
travel subsidies and accommodation, subject to the limits of our
budget (applications need to be submitted by email, by 5 July).
