Dear fellow English teachers,

I am doing my PhD at Griffith University in English education. My research
aims to examine the current VCE English course at 3/4 level by constructing
teachers stories of their teaching of literary texts, particularly within
the two areas of ŒCreating and Presenting¹ and ŒReading and Responding¹.

I am seeking Unit 3/4 English teachers who would be happy to discuss their
experiences with me. The interviews can be arranged by location and time to
suit your own schedule.

I am happy to answer any questions you have. Please read the advertisement
below.

Kind Regards,

Bree

Invitation to V.C.E. English Teachers

If you are a Unit 3Ž4 V.C.E. English teacher and you have taught the course
since 2008, I need your assistance to be part of Ph.D research project in
Education through Griffith University.

I am researching the teaching of literary texts within the two textual areas
of the course, ŒCreating and Presenting¹ and ŒReading and Responding¹. I am
keenly interested in teachers¹ stories of practice and I firmly believe in
the importance of teachers¹ own voices reflecting academic research.

Your involvement requires participating in 3 interviews, each of 1Ž2 hour
duration over the course of three terms, beginning late term 4 (negotiable)
2009. These interviews can be arranged at a time and location convenient to
you.

If you are interested in participating or would like to know more, please
contact Bree Kitt at kitt.bree.r at edumail.vic.gov.au or on 0409389253
