Subject: [English] Free Teacher ICT PD offer

(Note: Teacher PD courses by Adrian are *highly* recommended. Stephen :)

Adrian <hey_ad at yahoo.com> writes,

Hey Sydney and Melbourne teachers,

I'm looking to run some workshops in Sydney and Melbourne within the next
month or so - (ok just want some bloke time in the big cities hehehe) but
I've suddenly found myself very, very short of a venue.

(insert long boring story here)

I'm wondering if someone as one lab and a collection of say 20 laptops or
ideally 2 labs that they could spare for a day or two. In return, you'd
get 3 or 4 of your teachers to attend the sessions each day.

If you even think it might be a possibility or know someone who might be
able to help drop me a message.

cheers

Adrian

PS I'm hoping to run something like this.

And, at the above website: "Course participants will leave this session
with a plethora of great teaching ideas in their tool-box, an incredible
amount of inspiration and realistic goals to implement back in their
schools and classrooms.

Software (Take a deep breath and brace yourself)

How to Co-learn Software (Scratch), Awe & Wonder in Science Ed
(Microsoft's Worldwide Telescope), Digital Story Telling (Comic Life,
Inkscape, Photostory 3) A Step Beyond Powerpoint (Microsoft Producer),
Podcasting - from initial concept to published on the Internet in ½ and
hour (Audacity and Pod-o-Matic), Tips & Tricks for Successful Clay
Animation (Monkey Jam), How to Make your Blog Stand Out

can explore any software that I mention throughout the day if they feel it
is something they would like to check out."
