[elearning] BYOD - Multiple device types

At Boort DS we are running a BYOD program with all types of devices rolling in. We do have mandates on screen size however. We are google apps based now and using all cloud based tools as much as possible to replace any software we used to use that was tied to edustar and not freeware.

All in all it's the best decision we have ever made.

Our techs have had issues with android devices connecting, but we are able to connect ipad, macs, iPhones, windows devices, laptops, net books and tablets etc successfully with a BYOD login.

Have been out of the loop from the tech side.... Our issues multiple campus issues have also been reduced...

Google apps for education seems to fill the gaps for senior student users, it's certainly been around for a while now. At ISM we encourage any device from blackberry to alien-ware laptop.
We are thinking of mandating 10 inch screens and above for M5 and up.
But I recently had a student do his trial ITGS exam from his phone... did quite well.
The only issue is having to have all school resources web based to suit the iProducts, but google apps for education solves most issues, apart from offline access in Linux. The MS solution seemed buggy, slow and a poor second.
