[elearning] Strategies for dealing with communications overload?

If a news worthy school item is emailed, tweeted, published online and
pinned to a notice board or coffee machine then this is just promoting the
idea. Its a marketing death wish to pick one medium and ignore the rest. If
you want attention, stick a lolly to it. If you were a government dept you
could add a telephone number, advisory desk service, TV and radio.
Now it involves some kind of contractual obligation and is not time
critical then it can go into my pigeon hole. If it is really serious or
important, tell me in person and give it to me in writing.
