<div>I developed a GameMaker website last year using an animated character called Virgil. Virgil has been around for a bit now in various guises in some prototype learning activities (and I suspect he may in fact have developed a life of his own)</div>

<div>Basically the site condenses down my experiences using GameMaker as an entrée to OOP and provides a good step by step guide by video, image, text and audio to creating games from the simple Catch the Clown to Perilous Platforms.</div>

<div>It also has the resources to run moderated peer assessment and self-assessments. If anyone wants links to the forms and spreadsheets linked to on the site just flick me an email.</div>

<div>The site is being expanded bit by bit and you are most welcome, as always, to use any or all of the site material as you wish. Hopefully you will find this useful, I use it at Year 9 but it could easily work at Year 8 or a strong Year 7 group</div>
