Dear Teacher,
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) would like to invite your students to participate in the GoIT Girls work experience program.
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) are at the forefront of innovation across the globe. However, in Australia, growth in the IT industry faces two significant challenges; a skills shortage and an under representation of women in the industry.
The TCS GoIT Girls work experience program aims to:
Inspire students to consider future studies and a career in IT Provide insight into varied roles within an IT company and the business world Empower students to design and develop IT projects Complement the school curriculum
The program has four focus areas:
1. Technical IT skills
2. Employability skills
3. Female role models in technology
4. Experiences within the technology industry
Program dates:
Sydney
19 March – 23 March 2018
4 June - 8 June 2018
27 August - 31 August 2018
19 November - 23 November 2018
Melbourne
21 May - 25 May 2018
6 August - 10 August 2018
26 November – 30 November 2018
Time:
The program takes place at the TCS office from 9.30am – 4pm each day.
Location:
Sydney - TCS office, Level 6, 76 Berry Street North Sydney
Melbourne - TCS office, Level 8, 479 St Kilda Road Melbourne
Eligibility:
We would like to invite your female students in year 10 and 11, aged 15-17, to participate in the program. Note, students do not require any background in IT to participate.
