<div dir="ltr"><div>Hi Stuart,</div>I am teaching at an all girls school so unfortunately our D&T is Textiles based only. We do not run D&T at year 7 at all. At year 8 we have a compulsory semester comprising 3X80 mins per two week cycle. At year 9 it is an elective offered against Food Tech and Digital Technology electives for 5X80 mins per cycle. <p class="MsoNormal">Our school is going through a review this year and I have been given the task to look at specialist subjects in the middle school.<u></u><u></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Currently we have the following system within Design Technology but are looking into other options that maybe possible.<u></u><u></u></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Year 7 – 1, 70 minute period per week for Design Technology (Wood, ,Metal, Plastics & CAD) for 1 semester. Then the next semester the same in Food and Fabrics.<u></u><u></u></p>
