<FONT FACE="Calibri, Verdana, Helvetica, Arial"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'>During October & November the Australian Academy of Design will be offering Melbourne secondary school students the opportunity to participate in a Comic Art Explosion! ‘Comics, Manga & Co.’ – is an internationally touring exhibition that features the varied styles of thirteen German comic artists covering two generations. The Goethe-Institute Australien and the Australian Academy of Design give you the opportunity to enjoy this exhibition in Australia. In addition to this comprehensive exhibition the Australian Academy of Design will be hosting drawing workshops run by Melbourne based comic artist, Bernard Caleo. <BR>

</FONT>1 hour drawing workshop run by Bernard Caleo.<BR>
In this workshop students will be introduced to the language of comics. The students will come to appreciate that the language of comics is one that they already speak fluently. Warm up drawing exercises will be followed by the opportunity for each student to make their own comic strip.<BR>
30 minute tour of the exhibition Comics, Manga & Co.<BR>
<BR>
The AAD Curator will host a tour of the exhibition. Students will then have the opportunity to view the exhibition in their own time.<BR>
