[Design and Technology] Student Machinery documentation.

Hi Teachers,
Just wondering if it is a requirement for students to *complete and record
competency documentation* for use of each piece of machinery within the
classroom that they may use. Vert Drill, Disk sander etc...
Is this up to the individual school or is it part of regulations?
