[Second announcement -- please register by Monday.]

CS4HS workshop, University of Melbourne, Fri 23 & Mon 26 May 2014.
Organised by Steven Bird (Melbourne), Paula Christophersen (VCAA),
Bernd Meyer (Monash).

CS4HS is an initiative sponsored by Google to promote Computer Science
and Computational Thinking in the secondary curriculum. The CS4HS
Victoria meetings play an important role in preparation for a new VCE
3/4 study in Computer Science, provisionally called "VCE Algorithmics".
The workshop will be of particular interest to secondary teachers of
maths, science, and information technology who are considering teaching
this new study.

The goals of this workshop are to train secondary teachers in
the new VCE Algorithmics curriculum and to solicit feedback.

CS4HS coincides with the consultation period for the draft VCE
Algorithmics study design. This draft study design will not be made
available on the VCAA website, however we will run dedicated
sessions during the workshop in order to undertake targetted
consultation and solicit feedback from teachers.

Workshop participation is limited, and priority will be given to those
who register by the deadline and commit to attending the full
program. Lunches are provided. There is no registration fee.
Limited CRT support is available. Participants
from outside Melbourne can apply for travel subsidies and
accommodation, subject to the limits of our budget (requests
need to be emailed to Steven Bird by 12 May).

Please register your interest using the following form:
