is written on the birth certificate, despite pleas from the parents. We had one
family where the father had died, and the mother had remarried and wanted the
kids names changed, but we still couldn’t do it without the kids being
adopted, by deed poll or a court order. I rang Joan West from Standards and
Accountability and she confirmed it for me. Her number used to be 9637 2351
(not sure if it still is). <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

and wants her son to have the new husband’s surname. I was of the
belief that we can only change surnames on students if we have some sort of
documentation – but not sure what kind of documentation would cover this
